About Steve

Late in childhood I developed asthma as an allergic reaction to cats. As an adult more things began to trigger asthma: dust, cold air, exercise. Every year asthma got a little worse and I required increasing amounts of medication to deal with it.

In the winter of 2004 asthma became more seroius and began to disrupt my life in many ways. An internet search brought me to the Buteyko method. In June of 2005 I took Buteyko method classes with Chris Bauman. As I worked with the simple breathing exercises, asthma symptoms lessened and the need to use medications decreased until I was not getting asthma at all. It is a fascinating process and put me in control of my health. In May 2006 I took the educator training course with Jennifer Stark and am now qualified to teach the method to others.
